How To Stay Motivated. The Easy Way!

When we set ourself new goals its starts and an idea. An idea which we are motivated to work towards but that motivation can be lost easily. In most cases, people lose motivation and they don’t see their progress because they have set an open-ended goal or fitness wish.

Fitness Goal VS Fitness Wish

There is a big difference between a fitness goal and a fitness wish.

A fitness wish is a vague goal that is open-ended. For example, “I want to lose weight”. You have decided that you would like to lose a weight, but how much weight? and by when do you want to have lost it? and are you setting a realistic timescale?

basically, If you want to achieve something but you don’t have a structured plan designed specifically to achieve that goal by a certain time then what you have is a fitness wish.

Your wish will only become a fitness goal when making SMART:

Specific

Measurable

Achievable

Realistic

Timed

 

SMART goals are important. With a smart goal, you know exactly what you are aiming for and you can continually keep track of your progress. You are committing to your goal by setting a deadline!

 

The secret to success in 7 steps:

  1. Be clear on your goal & set realistic expectations
  2. Make sure you have a deadline.
  3. Follow a plan that is actually designed to get you the results you want. (Not all exercises and diets get the same results).
  4. Plan a training schedule and stick to it.
  5. Train with other people with a similar goal, the more training buddies the better as you can hold each other accountable. (It makes ditching sessions so much harder)
  6. Monitor your results properly, at the start and every 4 weeks thereafter.
  7. BE CONSISTENT!

 

Sadly, most people NEVER achieve their goals because they don’t consider most, if not all, of the steps above.
